CNY Trip 2020 Day 1
January 27, 2020
My journey started at 0730 in the morning, after had the breakfast in Hong Kong style restaurant, we took the bus reaching the HKIA around 10 am. Well, trip with elderly always need cushion time for restroom, “final packing for luggages”. With my tumble for the Joe, we get on board at 1140 or so and the plane even being pushed back before STD.
It is my 2nd time using AirAsia service while it is the 1st time coming KL with my parents. If you don’t really mind the comparatively shaking of the wings and relatively more sensible G-force, I highly recommend you choosing their flight.
I ordered the in-flight meal for us and I particularly put and order for a book, which is written by a female Captain in AirAsia group. I felt the flight is excellent – at least we landed safely at 1600.
(Note: HK and Malaysia share the same time zone – GMT+8)
However, we have been waiting in front of the immigration counter until 1730. Such a long queue! After we collected enough Ringgit from a CIMB bank’s ATM near car park A, we were on KLIA 2 platform around 1757. And we arrived KL Sentral at around 1837. According to the Ekspres’s webpage, the journey take only 28 minutes.
This time, we go for renting an apartment instead of the traditional hotel. To be honest, it is exceptional and it is liken my second home. Yet, one thing makes me quite upset was that OTP could not be achieved on day 1.
In order to have a site visit for a dinner next few day, I brought them to a district called TTDI. We went to a restaurant and the food there is more suitable for them. Rightly, it quite suits Hong Kong vistors. However, all of us agree that the flavor is barely acceptable. The store got 5.5 scores out of 10. After we had a quick dinner, we visited a hyperstore called “Heromarket”, where you can buy wide range of commodities from dry products to wet materials like seafood. We were also wandering along the street, in which has hawker selling street food and Gastropub for beer and fried snack. To me, it must be a decent place for dating a lady for drinks, but this is 老人團. So…nothing happened. Interestingly, a local homewares store was more eyeballs catching – at least my dad entered the two-floor store. Finally, we came back our unit at 2225. Well, the time now is already 0103 and I should have a sweet dream.
