ME: We’re going to have a booth at the expo next week promoting our products. I’d like to hear your ideas. Yes, Mary?
//NOTES: the YES is to ask/invite someone to start first (or to ask who want to say first)//
Mary: I think we should hand out free juice samples to show how well the juice maker works. Everyone loves free samples. That would definitely attract more people to our booth.
John: Just because people like free samples doesn’t mean they’re actually interested in the product. If we hand them out to everyone, we’ll need to spend quite a lot of money on fruit and cups, and we might not really get many more customers.
ME: John has a good point. I do think having samples is a good idea, but perhaps we should keep them behind the booth. Then we could offer them if someone asks for a demonstration. Rachel, do you have an idea?
Rachel: Yes, I think the presentation of the booth is important. We should make a sign that catches people’s attention right away and shows them what’s important about our products.
ME: I think we can all agree that’s important. We’ll need to start working on the design for it.
