MOLDOVA CHALLENGE – LANGUAGE

I really thought that the English is an international language as well as I can use it for communication in anywhere. The English language is an important language but it is not super. For example, the Vienna citizen usually speak German, the Romania and Moldova citizen usually speak Romania language.

Before I come to Moldova, I visited Romania where I could not use English to communicate with the citizen. So, how can I communicate with them? Body language! Correct partly, you can use body language of course. You, however, are very easy to be a target of bully, specially you are alone. Let me give you some example that I was experience. I took a taxi and the taxi driver charge me a unknown extra fee; I asked a passer for helping to find a bus stop, then he took away my money from my hand. If you were me, if you were alone in a foreign country where you cannot use some languages that you know and you came across the situations, what is your reaction?

Safety is higher priority than everything! I remember that there is a girl said to me “You are safe, just lose some money!” Certainly, I am really hate the girl saying but she is correct. Learning need to pay! They know that I am Asian as well as I do not know their language and I have no ability to strike back.

So, I was determinant to learn the Romania language in Moldova!

I have been Moldova only two weeks, I have learned some Romania language and other language like Italian . Even though I know only little, I do not worry about the communication. I know how to greeting with others, count number and yelling if I need helping.

Learning languages is very interesting! I do not remember that how I can learn Chinese and English exactly. But I can tell you how I am learning Romania. Some people here are know the English and Romania. Since we can use the English as a bridge, and I write some Chinese for the pronunciation of the Romania. Of course, I use it everyday. Practice make it perfect!
