Korea Trip 2019 – Day 2
On the second day at 0915LT, after we had had the buffet breakfast in the hotel, we started our Day 2 schedule. Around 1.5 hours journey, we arrived the French Culture Village. The tour guide introduce to us that many scene of Korean TV series used that as the background. To me, hmm… my accompany in this trip are not my sweetheart but my dear parents and aunties. It can be quite romantic if a pair take photos there. I cannot see any historical background from the village, but I share the same viewpoint with the local tour guide that more and more visitors coming Korea because of the TV series as well as stars and groups of entertainment industry.
After we had lunch in an exotic restaurant, we arrived a pier where we could enjoy approximately 8 mins boat trip to the Nami Island. If you are adventure-seeker, you should try to use the zip-wire to enter there.
Nami Island is situated 63km from Seoul in the middle of the Han River – it is on top of Cheongpyeong Lake. Today, the island is a place for rest and relaxation. Again, local TV series production pays contribution to make the island becoming popular. The Metasequoia Lane, Ginkgo Tree Lane, Baekpungmilwon Maple Garden, Bungalow Row Riverside Path and more attractions give photographers as well as pairs a reason to visit this tourist spot. According to official reference material, it is formed with pebbles and sand. You can not only find wide grassy gardens where ostriches, rabbits, squirrels, ducks and birds, but also can enjoy snacks and coffee in different modern restaurant and cafe.
Nami Island is the most interesting tourist spot that I have ever been – there is a grave. Indeed, it was named after General Nami, a notable figure in Korean history who courageously fought in battles but died at the age of 26.
Overall, visiting here is quite relaxed, perhaps I am traveling with elderly in a slow pace.
