What’s Adiabatic expansion (and Adiabatic cooling)?
Adiabatic expansion refers to a process in which a gas expands without exchanging heat with its surroundings. This means that no heat enters or leaves the system during the expansion. When a gas expands in this way, its internal energy decreases, which can lead to a drop in temperature.
