You will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>take part in role plays presenting your opinion with reasons in a meeting<\/li>\n<li>learn words and phrases connected with marketing<\/li>\n<li>focus on ways to describe real cause and effect situations<\/li>\n<li>practise speaking out on your views with clarity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>ME: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>We\u2019re going to<\/strong><\/span> have a booth at the expo next week promoting our products.<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> <strong>I\u2019d like to hear your <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ideas. Yes,<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> Mary<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\">?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\/\/NOTES: the YES is to ask\/invite someone to start first (or to ask who want to say first)\/\/<\/p>\n<p>Mary: <strong>I think we should<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">hand out free <\/span>juice<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> samples<\/span> to show how well the juice maker works. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Everyone loves free samples.<\/span><strong> That would definitely<\/strong> attract more people to our booth.<\/p>\n<p>John: <strong>Just because<\/strong> people like free samples doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019re actually interested in the product. <strong>If<\/strong> we hand them out to everyone, <strong>we\u2019ll<\/strong> need to spend quite a lot of money on fruit and cups, <strong>and we might not really<\/strong> get many more customers.<\/p>\n<p>ME: John\u00a0<strong>has a good point. I do think<\/strong> having samples<strong> is a good idea, but perhaps we should<\/strong> keep them behind the booth. Then we could offer them if someone asks for a demonstration. Rachel<strong>, do you have an idea?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rachel: Yes,<strong> I think<\/strong> the presentation of the booth<strong> is important.<\/strong> <strong>We should<\/strong> make a sign that catches people\u2019s attention <em>right away<\/em> and shows them what\u2019s important about our products.<\/p>\n<p>ME: <strong>I think we can all agree<\/strong> that\u2019s important.
