I had chance to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>tell your classmates about something that happened to you in the past<\/li>\n<li>focus on phrases to show interest<\/li>\n<li>focus on auxiliary verbs in follow-up questions<\/li>\n<li>practise using intonation to show interest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Language &#8211; below are some words or phases that we could use to show our interest in a conversation<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Really?<\/li>\n<li>Yeah, yeah&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Uh, huh = Yep!<\/li>\n<li>No!<\/li>\n<li>You&#8217;re joking!<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t you?<\/li>\n<li>Oh, right.<\/li>\n<li>Wow.<\/li>\n<li>That was lucky!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Echo&#8221; questions<\/strong> is another useful skill !<\/p>\n<p>Example: After I say : &#8220;Echo&#8221; questions is another useful skill ! &#8211; you could say : Is it?<br \/>\nExample: I like doing exercise on regular basis. &#8211; you could give me response : Do you?<br \/>\nExample: You got it! &#8211; Did I?<\/p>\n<p>Uh, huh.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Let me make a short summary about &#8220;Listening and engaging in other stories&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Need to build rapport<\/li>\n<li>Echo question<\/li>\n<li>Uh-huh, Really?, You must be joking!<\/li>\n<li>Pitch<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cool!
