Instrument Landing System"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ILS (Instrument Landing System) is used for<strong> precision approach<\/strong>, particular useful for <strong>low visibility condition<\/strong> and\/or bad weather.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Component of ILS<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Localizer<\/li>\n<li>Glide slope<\/li>\n<li>Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) or Marker Beacons<\/li>\n<li>Runway lights<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u7559\u610f\u98db\u6a5f\u65b9\u5411!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.faa.gov\/sites\/faa.gov\/files\/inline-images\/GBN_system_graphic_1.png\" alt=\"GBN_system_graphic\" width=\"731\" height=\"370\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Function of each components:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Localizer<br \/>\nGuide the aircraft to the centerline of the runway (lateral guidance)<\/li>\n<li>Glide slope<br \/>\nGuide the aircraft to use the designated descend profile (vertical guidance)<\/li>\n<li>Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) or Marker Beacons<br \/>\nProvide distance information<\/li>\n<li>Runway lights<br \/>\nImportant visual reference for the pilots to make the final decision (continue or go around)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u7559\u610f\u98db\u6a5f\u65b9\u5411!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>More advance about the ILS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ILS uses two <strong>directional<\/strong> <strong>radio signals<\/strong> &#8211; localizer and glideslope ;\n<ul>\n<li>Localizer (108 to 112 MHz frequency) &#8211; VHF;<\/li>\n<li>Glideslope (329.15 to 335 MHz frequency) &#8211; UHF;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>However, both localizer and glideslope are &#8220;modify&#8221;
