Lesson 12<\/a>)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>At the moment<\/em><strong>,<\/strong> I &#8230;<\/li>\n<li><em>Some years ago<\/em> I &#8230;<\/li>\n<li><em>Now<\/em> I &#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n[Start(ed) doing sth.]\n<ul>\n<li>it&#8217;s still going, which is nice.<\/li>\n<li>I started doing sth. about (a year and a half ago).<\/li>\n<li>I do it because it helps me (not only physically, but also mentally,) to stay fresh.<\/li>\n<li>I enjoy the (social) aspect of it.<\/li>\n<li>I have made some new friends there.<\/li>\n<li>Now I really enjoy the routine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[Stop(ped) doing sth.]\n<ul>\n<li>At the moment, I don&#8217;t have &#8230;<\/li>\n<li>There used to be someone who did sth. with me &#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Some years ago I did sth &#8230;<\/li>\n<li>It was very interesting at first, because I had to &#8230;<\/li>\n<li>I did\/made\/joined&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>basically the reason I stopped ding it was that I &#8230; and I just needed out.<\/li>\n<li>I took it up about two years ago.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>p.S &#8211; We could use different tenses to show whether we are doing sth still or not any more! &#8211; <strong>Be caution about the tenses usage!<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To talk about <strong>why<\/strong> we <strong>start<\/strong>(ed) <strong>doing something,<\/strong> we could say something like :<\/p>\n<p>Someone I know mentioned that he was learning flying, and I had some free time and my social life was not exactly thrilling. So I thought maybe I could try aviation! I tried it, I loved it and I&#8217;m still doing it.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>To talk about\u00a0<strong>why<\/strong>\u00a0we\u00a0<strong>stop<\/strong>(ped)\u00a0<strong>doing something,<\/strong>\u00a0we could say something like :<\/p>\n<p>I liked (doing sth) but <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>it is on the backburner now<\/em><\/span>, and I don&#8217;t (do sth.) as much as I&#8217;d like to. Basically the reason I stopped doing it as that I (was doing far too much\/ reasons&#8230;..). And I just needed out.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Well, my Bro mentioned that he was learning English at BC, and I had to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/learningenglish\/thai\/features\/the-english-we-speak\/ep-171211\" target=\"_blank\"><em>up my<\/em> English <em>game<\/em> (ph.)<\/a>\u00a0for my next vocation. So I thought maybe I could try learning there! I tried it, and now I join the lessons as much as I could do so.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d love to learning more about coffee but it is on the backburner now, I don&#8217;t have much extra time for it &#8211; and the more important goal for me is to be a real commercial pilot, so I just needed out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summary Talking about taking up activities The topic of this lesson is activities I have done.
