Like (&#8230;.) I think, there&#8217;re (&#8230;..) I really hate that.<\/strong><br \/>\nExample: Well, yes. Like (every office), I think, there are (lots of unwashed coffee cups left on desks and rubbish lying around). I really hate that.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ah you see, not everything is perfect. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>(sth. \/<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> Sometimes things) can be a real irritation<\/span> and that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>get(s) under our skin<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Well, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">no worry, you are not alone.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/strong>(\u543e\u6d17\u64d4\u5fc3&#8230;\u4e0d\u662f\u5f97\u60a8\u611f\u5538)<\/li>\n<li><strong>That happens to me<\/strong>\u00a0(all the time)\u00a0<strong>as well<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>pet <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">hate(s)<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>(irritate to others)<strong> \u2248 pet\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">peeve(s)<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>(what things annoy you)<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong>pet hates &#8211; are small annoying habits that really irritate someone (others)<br \/>\n<em>Example:<\/em>\u00a0I find out various pet <em>hates<\/em> <em>of<\/em> office <em>workers<\/em>.<br \/>\npet peeves &#8211; are something that especially annoys you<br \/>\n<em>Example:\u00a0<\/em>Weak coffee is one of <em>my<\/em> pet <em>peeves<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>(Come on,) <strong>We should have some sympathy!<\/strong>\u00a0 (\u543e\u597d\u611f\u5566, \u6211\u5730\u61c9\u8a72\u6709D \u540c\u60c5\u5fc3!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Tapping of desk can be so annoying and that gets under our skin because it is so distracting &#8211; <strong>so to speak<\/strong> (=in other words) it breaks our concentration. We could wear headphones to<strong> block out<\/strong> <em>the sound<\/em>. But for the person doing the tapping, do they really recognize that this is one of the pet hates of them? How can they <strong>kick the habit<\/strong> <em>&#8211; to stop doing it? <\/em>We should have some sympathy!<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>jargon<\/strong> can be pet peeve for us <strong>in<\/strong> the <strong>workplace<\/strong> because these are words and phrases used by managers that we don&#8217;t understand like a layman. For more pet peeves, <strong>I couldn&#8217;t possibly say, he might be listening.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Anyway,\u00a0one of the things that annoys me the most is people who smoke while we are chatting on the street, it&#8217;s really<em> the biggest<\/em> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>bugbear<\/strong><\/span><em> &#8211; another way of saying irritation.\u00a0<\/em>And so, I&#8217;d prefer have a water-cooler moment inside the pantry where might full of coffee smell instead of <strong>odor of burning cigarette or tobacco<\/strong>.
