hoist\u00a0(\u540a\u91cd\u6a5f)<\/strong> means a lifting machine<\/strong>, whether worked by mechanical power or not<\/strong>, with a carriage, platform or cage<\/strong>, the movement of which is restricted by a guide or guides<\/strong>; and also the supports, well and enclosures, and the carriage, platform or cage, and the whole of the mechanical and electrical apparatus (if any) required in connexion with the operation and safety of a hoist, but<\/strong> does not include<\/strong> a builder\u2019s lift<\/strong> or a tower working platform<\/strong>;
