Improvement Notice<\/b> \/ I.N (\u6566\u4fc3\u6539\u5584\u901a\u77e5\u66f8) means a notice served under section 9:<\/b><\/a><\/span><\/div>\n

(1)\u00a0The Commissioner may serve an improvement notice on an employer<\/a>, or an occupier<\/a> of premises where a workplace is located, if of the opinion that the employer or occupier\u2014<\/span><\/div>\n
\n
(a)\u00a0is contravening<\/b> this Ordinance (OSHO<\/b>) or<\/b> the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance (F&IUO<\/b>,\u00a0Cap. 59<\/a><\/span>); or<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
(b)\u00a0has contravened either of those Ordinances in circumstances that make it likely that the contravention will be continued or repeated.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n
Suspension Notice<\/b> \/ S.N (\u66ab\u6642\u505c\u5de5\u901a\u77e5\u66f8) means a notice served under section 10:<\/b><\/a><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\n
(1) The Commissioner may serve a suspension notice on an employer<\/a> who is responsible for, or on an occupier<\/a> of, premises where a workplace is located, if of the opinion that because of\u2014<\/span><\/div>\n
\n
(a) an activity<\/b> undertaken on the premises; or<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
(b)\u00a0the condition or use of the premises or of any plant or substance<\/b> located on the premises,<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
there is an imminent risk of death or serious bodily injury.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
