It&#8217;s famous in the USA though, we <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>had better not<\/em><\/span> <strong>take it for granted<\/strong> that everybody have heard about it.<\/p>\n[<strong>take it for granted&#8230;<\/strong> = there is grantee that&#8230; ]\n<ul>\n<li>You <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>had better not<\/em><\/span> take everything for granted.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t <strong>take it for granted that<\/strong> I will do it.<\/li>\n<li>I take it for granted that you love it. I don&#8217;t know the fact that you don&#8217;t like apple.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[<strong>Do you believe that&#8230;\u00a0<\/strong> = Do you really &#8220;think&#8221; that &#8230;]\n<ul>\n<li>Do you believe that you can succeed without working hard?<\/li>\n<li>Do you believe that people would like the new flavor?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To <strong>talk about a festival<\/strong> &#8211; we could use these :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Like most (&#8230;.), I\/My &#8230; always (do &#8230;)<\/li>\n<li>Why don&#8217;t you join us this year? My family will be happy to meet you.<\/li>\n<li>(Today) is a time to (do sth&#8230;)<\/li>\n<li>Loads of people (do sth&#8230;) on (someday).<\/li>\n<li>We could &#8230;. while (my Mum &#8230;)<\/li>\n<li>We&#8217;ll have &#8230;.like (&#8230;eg&#8230; and&#8230;)<\/li>\n<li><strong>On<\/strong> this special <strong>festival<\/strong>, I want to &#8230;<\/li>\n<li>I am thankful for being able to spend the holiday with people I love.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Now, let me quickly divert the topic to<strong> about buying souvenir(s)<\/strong> <strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t take it for granted that everybody would like to buy souvenir(s) when they travel aboard. It is a question of courtesy though. Anyway, have you ever received any\u00a0 <strong>exquisite sculpture\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0<strong>functional key ring?\u00a0<\/strong>Even though I feel some of souvenirs I bought that are nothing <strong>special<\/strong> or only some <strong>commercial<\/strong> products, I did saw\u00a0some <strong>distinctive memento(es)<\/strong>\u00a0inside\u00a0the showcase of museum&#8217;s souvenir shop. For example, I saw\u00a0 <strong>hand-made<\/strong> chocolate, <strong>wooden-made<\/strong> model of that museum and <strong>tribal<\/strong> thingy. I sincerely hope that you like my\u00a0souvenir(s) if you receive any.<\/p>\n[<strong>I sincerely hope that&#8230;<\/strong>]\n<ul>\n<li>I sincerely hope that I could spend more time with my family.<\/li>\n<li>I sincerely hope that you can find a better solution.<\/li>\n<li>I sincerely hope that you could accept my apology.<\/li>\n<li>I sincerely hope that you could give me one more chance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[<strong>It&#8217;s best to &#8230;<\/strong>]\n<ul>\n<li>It&#8217;s best to ask your supervisor for advice if you have trouble at work.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s best to\u00a0start boarding if you don&#8217;t want to delay the flight.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s best to go to sleep if you don&#8217;t want be looking worn out tomorrow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To talk about with friends about traveling :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>When I go traveling aboard, I (always,usually\/near always,often,sometimes, rarely, never) (do sth&#8230;), preferably &#8230;.<\/li>\n<li>This (hand-made postcard\/functional key ring\/<strong>phial of perfume\/exquisite figure<\/strong>) is special to me because it was given to me by (someone)<br \/>\nNOTE: &#8220;phial of&#8221; = small <em>glass<\/em> bottle<\/li>\n<li>Do you know where (I could buy this \/ the nearest MTR station is)?<\/li>\n<li>I believe that I&#8217;ve got to buy some memento for my collage.<\/li>\n<li>Let&#8217;s go to &#8230;. to (do sth).<\/li>\n<li>I guess Peter would like this.<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;d like to buy something more (practical\/functional) for my friend, like &#8230;.<\/li>\n<li>(sth) is a good choice \/ (sth) are good choices.<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;ll expect you won&#8217;t buy something fragile that needs to be handle with caution.<\/li>\n<li>(sth) <strong>remind me of the good times I have spent in<\/strong> UK.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Well, do you play any <strong>instrument<\/strong>? I don&#8217;t know at all, what a shame! I played the piano though, I am not that type of material, perhaps there is not no relative genes within my DNA. I&#8217;ve never think to be a <strong>pianist<\/strong>, nor a <strong>composer (\u4f5c\u66f2\u5bb6)\u00a0<\/strong>although I enjoy listening to<strong> classical music<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(\u53e4\u5178\u97f3\u6a02)<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>symphony (\u4ea4\u97ff\u6a02).<\/strong>\u00a0 I <em>was so do done with<\/em> reading the <strong>notation (\u6a02\u8b5c) ,<\/strong> the musical note is really really boring. Having to say that playing an instrument, use piano for example, need time to practice so as to master the skills &#8211; practice makes perfect. Do you really believe that we could be skillful?<\/p>\n[spare no effort to do&#8230;]\n<ul>\n<li>No worry! We are going to spare no effort to finish our tasks!<\/li>\n<li>I am going to spare no effort to achieve my goal &#8211; become an airline pilot!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[Would you mind (if) &#8230;]\n<ul>\n<li>Would you mind carrying this tool box to the bulk?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Would you mind if<\/strong> I use the lavatory?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To talk about<strong> learning (music)<\/strong> :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>I still have trouble<\/strong> (about) aligning to the center line of the RWY somehow<strong> because I&#8217;ve just begun to learn<\/strong> to fly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>I feel<\/strong> (musical instrument\/ sth) <strong>is\/are difficult to learn because <\/strong>I have no passion and enthusiasm at them.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0There is a saying that goes &#8220;practice makes perfect&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li><strong>I am learning to<\/strong> <strong>&#8230;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>I have to work on &#8230;.\u00a0 as I am not used to<\/strong> (doing sth) <strong>a lot\u00a0 <\/strong>[\u6211\u5fc5\u9808\u5728&#8230;\u65b9\u9762\u52aa\u529b, \u56e0\u70ba\u6211\u4e0d\u7fd2\u6163\u7d93\u5e38&#8230;]<\/li>\n<li><strong>Do you know how to<\/strong>\u00a0conduct a &#8220;crab&#8221; landing <strong>?\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>I make use of<\/strong> a <em>metronome (\u7bc0\u62cd\u5668)<\/em> <strong>to<\/strong> practice at different <em>tempos (\u7bc0\u594f)<\/em> .<\/li>\n<li><strong>I hope to advance to<\/strong> a higher level.<\/li>\n<li>(Doing sport)<strong> is my favorite pastime.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<p>How do you spend your spare time <strong>at<\/strong> the <strong>university<\/strong>\u00a0? Joining a club would be a good suggestion. Have you ever <strong>dream of<\/strong> <em>hang out with<\/em>\u00a0various\u00a0friends <strong>sharing mutual hobby<\/strong>? Indeed,\u00a0we would probably <em>have a chance to<\/em> <strong>improve<\/strong> different skills<strong> through<\/strong> the <strong>daily practicing<\/strong>. The <strong>experience<\/strong> you <strong>accumulating<\/strong> in the club would be also useful and favorable\u00a0for the future career.<\/p>\n<p><em>Notes:<br \/>\n<\/em><em>spirited &#8211;\u00a0enthusiastic and determined<\/em><\/p>\n[<strong>have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>a<\/em><\/span> chance to &#8230;<\/strong>]\n<ul>\n<li>I didn&#8217;t have a chance to talk with you about it.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t worry.
