You will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>role play negotiating with bosses, landlords, customers and parents<\/li>\n<li>focus on ways to make, accept and refuse offers<\/li>\n<li>learn phrases to explore options when there is no agreement<\/li>\n<li>practise saying contractions while trying to come to an agreement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In every <strong>negotiation,<\/strong> we need a good <strong>opening\u00a0<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>A: Thank you for coming, Mr B. It is a lovely morning, isn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p>B: Ya, blue sky and white cloud. <strong>OK, shall we get down to business?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A: Sure.<\/p>\n<p>A: <strong>What do you think about<\/strong> the contract?<\/p>\n<p>B: Hmm.<strong>Do you want my honest opinion?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A: Yes, of coz.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Then we may <strong>accept <\/strong>part of the offer and <strong>follow giving refuse\u00a0<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>B: <strong>We&#8217;re interested in<\/strong> cooperating with your company. <strong>However, the problem is<\/strong> the price. <strong>I am afraid we can&#8217;t<\/strong> go that high.<\/p>\n<p>A then <strong>playing for time + refuse <\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>A: <strong>I though we agreed on that.<\/strong> <strong>I am sorry, but that&#8217;s the best<\/strong> price <strong>we can offer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Then one side need to <strong>making offer :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>B:<strong> I see. We have a limited<\/strong> budget,<strong> I am afraid.<\/strong> <strong>But what if<\/strong> you provide extra manpower for us during the rush hours<strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A then asking <strong>clarification question<\/strong>(s):<\/p>\n<p>A: <strong>Can you be a little more specific?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A: <strong>What exactly do you have in mind?<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>B then <strong>answer \/ making request<\/strong> again:<\/p>\n<p>B: OK, well, <strong>if we<\/strong> extend our cooperation to 3 years, <strong>will you<\/strong> offer us a discount<strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A: Hmm. That&#8217;s a fair suggestion.<\/p>\n<p>A: I don&#8217;t see any problem with that.<\/p>\n<p>A: I think we can agree to that.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>B then can <strong>making another request<\/strong> :<\/p>\n<p>B: <strong>Great! In that case, we&#8217;d like you to<\/strong> make \u00a0another appointment for signing the contract at week of next week<strong>, if possible.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A: <strong>I&#8217;m afraid<\/strong> that we cannot offer the promotion price to you if you sign the contract after next Tue. For your case, <strong>we can<\/strong> guarantee that you can revoke the contract within 2 weeks even you have signed it.<\/p>\n<p>B: That should be fine.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A then <strong>making another request<\/strong> :<\/p>\n<p>A: <strong>We&#8217;ll<\/strong> make another appointment for you at next Mon,<strong> is that all right?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>B: Actually, <strong>I&#8217;d rather<\/strong> consult my boss first<strong>, if possible.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A: <strong>That sounds reasonable. However, we&#8217;ll expect you\u00a0<\/strong>to give us your decision before this Sat.<\/p>\n<p>B: I don&#8217;t see any problem. So, I&#8217;ll get back to you on that.<\/p>\n<p>A: <strong>Great!
